The story of ALICE IN WONDERLAND is an interesting one that’s game to many different interpretations. They all stem from a late 1800s novel by Charles Dodgson. The most famous ALICE IN WONDERLAND would of course be the Disney film. Well we’ve been in line for a dark look at Wonderland for a long ass time now.Both American McGee and Tim Burton have darker tales of Alice’s adventure in the works. But today I’m reporting on a different interpretation entirely. I’m talking about MALICE IN WONDERLAND. Here’s the modernized synopsis for MALICE: An American law student in London. Knocked down by a black cab, she wakes with amnesia in a world that’s a million miles from home - Wonderland. We follow her adventures as she’s dragged through an underworld filled with twisted individuals and the lowest low-lifers, by the enigmatic cab driver, Whitey. She needs to find out who she is, where she’s from and use what wits she has left to get back home in one piece. As her journey progresses she discovers nothing is what it seems, realizes that fate and life are terminally entwined, and finds true love lurking in the unlikeliest place.

That sounds deliciously f*cked up. Here’s hoping they go REALLY dark with this one. Now if memory serves me correctly, Mischa Barton was originally attached to star in MALICE IN WONDERLAND. Well it seems like Barton is out with Variety reporting that the gorgeous Maggie Grace has now signed on to star in the film as Alice.

Now I know Grace (pictured) mainly from the TV show LOST, where she played a seemingly heartless little b*tch. Well as you can tell she’s obviously adorable… and she nailed the b*tch role pretty damn well, so I’m game for whatever Maggie wants to attempt. Other cast includes: Nathaniel Parker, Danny Dyer, Bronagh Gallagher, Paul Kaye, Matt King, Anthony Higgins, Katia Winter, and Gary Beadle. MALICE IN WONDERLAND comes from a script by Jayson Rothwell and will be directed by Simon Fellows. It’s set in North East England and seems to be an English production having only a 2009 UK release date announced.

Woah!! So long without an update? Wow, not like me at all. I think because Maggie has been MIA lately, probably (hopefully) shooting a new movie or project. Hey all, I have some good news for you! Maggie might be starring in a new movie, called Malice in Wonderland. It is rumoured, but imdb says that she is the role of Malice and she is filming! Here is a brief description:
